Apply or Nominate a Colleague for the 2024 20 Under 40 Class

Application and nominations are now open for the 2024 class of SpineLine’s 20 Under 40. Now in its seventh year, 20 Under 40 has honored 121* up-and-coming spine professionals. If you’re proud of the successes you’ve had thus far in your career, apply today! If you work with an exceptional young spine clinician, it takes three minutes to honor their contributions to the field through a nomination. Enhanced digital profiles will appear in the 2024 September/October issue of SpineLine, which will be open access to invite sharing with a global audience – including professional and personal networks. This year's class will be invited to serve as reviewers for NASSJ, NASS' open access journal. Honorees from our existing classes have received hometown media attention, and have been appointed to serve in leadership positions on NASS committees and editorial boards. Applying is easy! The application covers early career path, philosophy of care, community and NASS involvement, and life outside of practice. Responses to this questionnaire are the basis for the SpineLine Editorial Board when considering the composition of the upcoming class and in the development of honorees’ profiles. The only requirements for nomination are current NASS membership and a birth date on or after January 1, 1984. If you applied in previous years but did not win, please consider reapplying for the 2024 class! There is no limit on the number of years a candidate can apply. Applications and nominations will be accepted until March 31, 2024. *There were 21 honorees in the 2018 because of a tie in voting.
