Innovation NetWORK Summit to Explore the Full Lifecycle of Spine Technology
The NASS Innovation NetWORK Summit returns to the Loews Chicago O’Hare in Rosemont on June 11-12, bringing together surgeons, medical clinicians, investors, health system leaders, and industry partners for two days of focused discussion on what it truly takes to bring new spine technologies to market.
Day 1 centers on market forces and capital strategy. Senior analysts will provide a market outlook across fusion, nonfusion, interventional, and enabling technologies. Panels examining early-stage funding, venture and private equity dynamics, and alternative capital models will follow. Sessions will explore how funding pathways, investor expectations, and emerging technologies such as AI and robotics are shaping the current MedTech innovation landscape.
Day 2 shifts to protection, reimbursement, and market access. Experts will address patent strategies, FDA breakthrough designation pathways, coding for new technologies, and payer decision-making. Health systems leaders will provide insight into value analysis processes, physician-alignment factors, and the operational realities that determine whether a promising innovation ultimately reaches hospital inventories.
Roundtable discussions and live pitches will create space for candid dialogue and audience feedback, with additional sessions highlighting resources available to innovators in the spine space.
Throughout the program, attendees will hear directly from clinician-innovators who have navigated setbacks, regulatory challenges, and commercialization hurdles. These experts will offer lessons learned from their successes and their failures.
NASS CEO, Eric Muehlbauer, MJ, CAE, notes “The Innovation NetWORK Summit is the foundation, not the finish line. The Innovation NetWORK Summit represents NASS’ continued evolution as a leader in shaping the future of spine care. Beyond education and advocacy, NASS is now convening the full innovation ecosystem — supporting spine innovation from concept to capital to hospital adoption. This Summit is about building smarter, more sustainable innovation — and ultimately improving patient care.”
