Each year, the American Medical Association (AMA) hosts a National Advocacy Conference (NAC) in Washington, DC. The AMA National Advocacy Conference brings together physicians from many specialties to connect with policymakers, members of Congress, political commentators, and others involved in federal efforts to improve health care. The 2025 conference included sessions regarding the new administration’s initiatives related to tariffs, government spending, cutting taxes, controlling immigration, and streamlining the military.
The AMA hosted a special event during the conference on Capitol Hill to Fix Medicare Now. Members of the conference gathered at the Cannon House Office Building to hear directly from the AMA president, the chair of the AMA Board of Trustees, and many federal lawmakers working toward Medicare payment solutions.
