NASS is excited to announce that nominations are now open for its prestigious Recognition Awards, which honor excellence in the spine care community. This year’s awards include the introduction of the International Award, a new category that honors global contributions to spine care and research.

Each year, the NASS Recognition Awards highlight the achievements of leaders who advance the field of spine care. The awards provide an opportunity to celebrate individuals whose work has redefined standards of care and inspired the spine community.
In 2025, the following categories will be awarded:
Leon Wiltse Award
To recognize excellence in leadership and/or clinical research in spine care.
Henry Farfan Award
To recognize excellence in leadership and/or clinical research in spine care.
Henry Farfan Award
To recognize excellence in leadership and/or clinical research in spine care.
David Selby Award
To recognize contributions to the art and science of spinal disorder management through service to NASS (NASS Past Presidents are not eligible for this award).
Spine Advocacy Award
To recognize members of NASS who have made exceptional contributions to the federal advocacy efforts on behalf of patients and members of the society.
International Award
To recognize members of NASS who have made exceptional contributions to the federal advocacy efforts on behalf of patients and members of the society.

NASS Recognition Awards provide members with an opportunity to honor the extraordinary contributions of their peers. Nominations will be accepted until March 31, 2025. To submit a nomination, visit the NASS website and complete the nomination form. Together, let’s celebrate the visionaries, innovators, and advocates whose work inspires the next generation of spine specialists.
